Michael Muse is a New Jersey native who has always understood the value of hard work, commitment, and sacrifice; and has always been known to have the will to succeed. Michael graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Cheyney University (CU) in 2009. During his time as an undergrad, he was a member of the Dean’s List (2006-2009) and the President’s List upon graduation (2009). He was also recognized as a Humphrey Scholar and inducted into the Kappa Alpha Mu Honor Society. In addition to excelling in the classroom, Mr. Muse was also a member of the Football and Track and Field team, where he was noted as the All PSAC Scholar Athlete for his entire undergrad career.
Outside of the classroom, Michael was routinely involved with various campus programs and groups dedicated to the improvement of other students and the surrounding community. Because of his leadership skills and academic success, he inspired many of his peers; he was a positive role model who utilized his academic gifts to mentor not only his peers but high school and elementary school students as well. Michael became a member of the Beta Gamma Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. in the spring of 2007. As an undergrad member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., he was selected as the Undergrad Scholar of the Year for his district (2008), as well as the National Undergrad Scholar of the year (2008) for the entire Fraternity.
With his unwavering commitment to service, Michael joined the Armed Forces shortly after obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree. Being recognized as a leader amongst his peers, he successfully completed Officer Candidate School and became a Commissioned Officer in the United States Army. As a Transportation Officer, Michael discovered his interest in logistics as he served as the Operations OIC for retrograde and redeployment for one year in Afghanistan (2013-2014). Upon returning home from his tour, Michael was determined to develop his military and civilian logistical skills by continuing his education. This brought him to North Carolina A&T, where he obtained his MBA in Supply Chain Systems.
As proof of his continued dedication and commitment to academia, Michael graduated with a GPA of 3.69 and received an induction into the Golden Honour Society. He currently serves full-time as a logistics officer in the United States Army. In addition, he has dedicated his life to uplifting his community and beyond.
